Abstract

A synthesizer-free 10-Gbit/s down-stream PRZ-BPSK and re-modulated up-stream RZ-OOK bi-directional transmission with receiving sensitivity of <−17dBm at BER=10−9 is demonstrated using a self-pulsating optical carrier with ultralow-jitter of 0.6 ps and high-extinction of 8.5 dB.
