Optimum mechanical splice conditions for fiber with hole-assisted structure

Abstract

The mechanical splice characteristics of a hole-assisted fiber (HAF) are investigated both numerically and experimentally. We successfully derived the optimum mechanical splice conditions, which can be universally utilized for HAF with arbitrary structural parameters.
