Abstract

We analyze the performance of a multiple-ROADM-ring connected network that utilizes Hierarchical Optical Cross-Connects (HOXC). We clarify the impacts of the waveband capacity and waveband add/drop ratio at the HOXC node on the node performance and switch scale.
