Reconfigurable Linear Chirp Control in Photonic Generation of High-Frequency Microwave Pulses

Abstract

A fiber-based approach for linear chirp control in optically-generated microwave pulses is proposed and demonstrated. Full linear chirp reconfigurability, including positive, negative and zero chirp rates, is achieved by tuning the relative delay in a fiber interferometer.
