Abstract

We propose an adaptive delay difference compensation scheme for 40 Gb/s/ch optical virtual concatenation. Channel to channel delay differences are detected based on peer comparison, and synchronously compensated using FIFO buffers. Rapid adaptive compensation with high accuracy is demonstrated.
