Heterodyne Radio over Fiber System with 10 Gbps Data Rates

Abstract

A coherent Radio over Fiber (RoF) system using unlocked laser sources for frequency translation is investigated. Transmission experiments prove this simple scheme to provide broadband multimedia services with decent bit error rates.
