Wavelength Conversion for NRZ Signals with Enhanced Regenerative Characteristics

Abstract

We present a new scheme for all-optical NRZ wavelength conversion with SOA-MZIs. It uses bidirectional data injection and employs an additional CW signal to differentially bias the MZI and to enhance its regenerative properties.
