Channel allocation to improve bandwidth utilization performance for CDMA-PONs

Abstract

This paper describes a novel DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) mechanism and evaluation results obtained by simulations and FPGA implementation experiments for CDMA-PONs. It improves non-blocking probability about 10% to 50% compared with a conventional method.
