All-optical time domain 160 Gb/s ADD/DROP based on pump depletion and nonlinearities in a single PPLN waveguide

Abstract

All-optical time-domain 160Gb/s add/drop scheme based on PPLN waveguide is demonstrated which exploits pump depletion in addition to sum and difference frequency generation. Less than 3.5dB penalty on dropped, survived and added channels is obtained.
