Highly efficient method for BER modeling in quasi-linear fibers and its validation in a 40 Gb/s DWDM testbed

Abstract

A novel ultra-fast quasi-analytical method capable of directly computing BER in terrestrial WDM systems within few minutes is presented and validated. The modeled BER results remarkably agree with 40 Gb/s duo-binary WDM testbed measurements.
