Abstract

For the first time, a traveling wave photodetector with integrated optical power splitter for >80 Gbit/s systems is demonstrated. The fully packaged detector provides Vp >0.5 V, 0.24 A/W, a polarization dependence of 0.2 dB and broadband impedance match.
