Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a 10-Gb/s NRZ-to-RZ format conversion with tunable pulsewidth using phase modulation followed by interleaver. RZ signals with pulsewidth of 34~84 ps are obtained with extinction ratio over 15 dB and negative power penalty.
