Abstract

XO Communications has been deploying Ethernet services as a nationwide service since late 2000 but had targeted deployments prior to that. Given the length of time deploying Ethernet and the breadth of this deployment it has given XO varied experiences with real world Ethernet applications. This paper concentrates on sharing those experiences.
