Achieving Fast Fault Detection and Localization in All-Optical Networks

Abstract

Fault detection and localization is critical for all-optical networks. In this paper after a review of the history and recent advancement on this topic, we proposed an end-to-end fault detection mechanism based on monitoring the HELLO packets from sources to destinations.
