Abstract

The next generation of Optical Transport Networks (OTNs) are being developed to provide that IP data traffic is directly transported over an optical layer through Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology [1, 2]. According to exponential growth of IP-based data traffic, OTNs are going to require technologies like autodiscovery of network resources and topology, automatic provisioning of optical channels, automatic restoration and efficient bandwidth management [3]. As associated with them, reliability and/or survivability of OTN has been getting more essential.
