Abstract

Radiation-Curable Optical fiber Coating with high reliability (e.g., heat and pressure resistance) is being required to optical communication, automobile system and optical backplane. These system get faced with severe weather in optical communication, harsh temperature in automobile, and lamination process of Fiber Embedded PCB(printed circuit board) with high temperature and pressure process(180°C, 35 kgf/m2 during 30min).

The coating is comprised of combinations of silicon, fluorine and aromatic, allophanate modified oligomer with unsaturated radiation-curable monomer. When the coating is cured, it owns good flexibility and hardness. Radiation-Curable Heat Resistance Coating allows optical fiber to withstand severe fabrication and flexure stresses without any coating failure. This coating can apply primary coating, secondary coating, coloring, tight buffer and ribbon coating.
