Intracavity Mid-IR Difference-Frequency Generation in OP-GaAs inside a Nanosecond Optical Parametric Oscillator

Abstract

We report on tunable (8026-8710 nm) mid-IR difference-frequency generation (DFG) in OP-GaAs by intracavity mixing signal and idler of a narrowband nanosecond PPMgLN-OPO. The output power at 35 kHz reached 215 mW at 8.15 μm.
