Intracavity-pumped, cascaded optical parametric oscillator based on BaGa2GeSе6

Abstract

We employ the new chalcogenide crystal BaGa2GeSe6 for the first time for frequency down-conversion into the mid-IR, in an optical parametric oscillator (OPO), intracavity pumped by the signal wave of a 1.064-µm pumped Rb:PPKTP OPO.
