Abstract

We report on a 6-µJ-threshold nanosecond single-frequency OP-GaAs optical parametric oscillator emitting in the longwave infrared (10.3–10.9 µm) and its application to standoff gas detection. It is pumped by a pulsed single-frequency Tm:YAP microlaser.
