Mid-Infrared Supercontinuum Generation From Cascaded Soft-Glass Fibers

Abstract

We demonstrate the first experimental wavelength broadening of mid-infrared super-continuum from a ZBLAN fiber in an arsenide selenide fiber. The input spectrum, limited at 4 µm, was extended to 4.9 µm with an average output power of 20 mW.
