Effects of Quasi-Phase Matching Chirp in a Picosecond Optical Parametric Oscillator

Abstract

We investigate and model a picosecond synchronously pumped optical parametric oscillator based on an aperiodically poled nonlinear crystal. We observe a dependence of the emitted spectrum on the sign of the quasi-phase matching period chirp.
