Light transport through Mie resonances in Photonic Glasses

Abstract

We present novel photonic materials, photonic glasses, as solid, disordered assemblies of monodisperse dielectric spheres, and the first measurements of resonances in the energy velocity of the diffused light, mean free paths and diffusion constant.
