Inverse Scattering in the Multiple Scattering Regime Using Different Gradient Approximations

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We describe a linearized inverse method, based on the iterative minimization of a cost functional, for reconstructing the permittivity of a target from scattered far-field in the multiple scattering regime. We show that accounting for multiple scattering in the calculation of the gradients of the cost functional ameliorates significantly the outcome of the reconstruction.
