Effect of Heat Input on Mechanical Properties of Laser-Arc Hybrid Welded Mild Steel Joints

Abstract

Laser-arc hybrid welding was employed to join Q235 carbon steel with thickness of 5mm, and test results show that lower heat input leads to better mechanical properties include tensile strength and impact toughness.
