Arbitrary Optical Waveform Generation in Temporal, Spectral, and Spatial Domains for Future Free-Space Optical Communications

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We discuss dynamic optical waveform generation using line-by-line coherent modulation of optical frequency combs, and arbitrary spatial beam forming utilizing 2D/3D photonic integrated circuits. Free-space optical communications and electronic warfare applications will also be discussed.
