Examination of Iron Doped Gallium Nitride as a Near-IR Laser Material

Abstract

Iron doped Gallium Nitride is a promising candidate for high power laser operation at 1µm. We report novel spectroscopic characterization on samples with iron doping densities ranging from 1.0 × 1016cm−3 to 9.0 × 1019cm−3.
