Gas-induced phase match phenomenon in high-order harmonic generation

Abstract

Strongly phase-matched high-order harmonic spectra are obtained experimentally by interacting few-cycle laser with argon. Satisfactory numerical results show that plasma effect has played an important role in this phenomenon.
