Diffraction-Attenuation Resistant Beams

Abstract

Diffraction-Attenuation Resistant Beams are generated by suitably superposing Bessel beams. We report theoretical results revealing that they can be used not only for short-range applications, but also to overcome atmospheric attenuation in FSO.
