Analysis of Solid-core Photonic Crystal Fiber for Confinement Loss and Birefringence with Square Air Hole Layers

Abstract

The solid core photonic crystal fiber with square-shaped air hole layers around the core is designed and analyzed by varying the number of rings (n). Increase in the number of rings results to decrease in mode confinement loss and increase in birefringence.
