Kerr-frequency combs and dissipative Kerr-solitons in coupled-cavity waveguides

Abstract

We formulate the theory of Kerr-frequency combs and dissipative Kerr solitons in coupled-cavity waveguides in presence of 2-photon absorption. We apply it to a band-engineered photonic crystal coupled-cavity waveguide in silicon at telecom wavelength.
