Image Quality Degradation by Imperfection of Surface in Waveguide-type Near-eye Display

Abstract

We analyze image degradation by the imperfect surface flatness of the optical waveguide. The image blurring effect is confirmed by simulation results. Experimental results show that the image quality is deteriorated depending on the incidence angle of the input beam.
