Spatial coherence of localized modes in an Anderson localizing optical fiber

Abstract

Exciting a localized beam in an Anderson localizing fiber results in a high degree of output spatial coherence. The fringe patterns resemble those from singlemode fibers, indicating that a single localized mode is predominantly excited.
