Abstract

Electromagnetic (EM) signal propagation of stationary and video 2D images across a turbulent path with a variable slant angle is examined under two prototypes- first, the information is embedded inside an EM carrier and imaged via propagation through anisoplanatic turbulence; second, the (unmodulated) EM carrier is imaged by propagating over an image-bearing transparency through optical lensing. Mitigation of image distortion via use of a chaotic carrier is examined, and results quantitatively compared.
