Differential Polarisation-sensitive Photodetectors Design Utilising Plasmonic Metasurfaces

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a CMOS compatible plasmonic antenna-based differential photodetector. Our design permits using differential detection techniques in telecommunication systems potentially significantly increasing the data transmission rate.
