Abstract

Electromagnetic (EM) propagation across a linear, non-chiral and chiral, possibly dispersive interface is studied in order to evaluate the corresponding Fresnel coefficients and thereby examine the propagation characteristics. The problem is extended to the case of first-order dispersion in the permittivity, permeability and chirality parameters of the second medium in terms of the sideband or message frequency, and in particular to sideband ranges where the second medium exhibits negative index behavior.
