Effective Permittivity and Permeability of Metamaterial from Rectilinear Thin Wires Array

Abstract

A composite structure consisting of rectilinear thin wires array forming a 2D square lattice within the non-conductive host media was theoretically investigated in this paper. The effective permittivity and permeability of the composite structure were calculated using numerical solution of Maxwell equations in differential form.
