Phase-Sensitive Amplification with Net Gain in Low-Loss Integrated Waveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate phase sensitive amplification based on pump-degenerate four-wave mixing in highly nonlinear low-loss waveguides. A net gain of 6 dB (including propagation losses) is achieved, with an extinction ratio of 16 dB.
