Spectroscopic Changes of Cr3+Doped Al2O3 Precursors Due to Irreversible Phase Changes During Subsecond Laser Heating

Abstract

We measure the subsecond laser-heating-induced spectroscopic changes of Cr:Al2O3 precursors and find that Cr:Al2O3 is a promising candidate for an ex-situ temperature sensor.
