Quantitative analysis of stainless steel corrosion by reflective digital holographic microscopy

Abstract

In this paper, using digital holographic microscopy technique, we suggest a novel quantitative criterion to distinguish between intergranular and transgranular corrosion in stainless steels. The method can be used to study several other metallurgical phenomena.
