Optical Simulation of Nonlinear Twisted-Ring Defect States with Planar Waveguide Arrays

Abstract

We introduce a concept of universal optical simulators based on experimentally accessible planar waveguide arrays, where the light evolution exactly replicates nonlinear defect state dynamics governed by topologically nontrivial Hamiltonians.
