Abstract

Precision measurements of n=2 hydrogen and helium will lead to precise determinations of the charge radius of the proton and the fine-structure constant. A new frequency-offset separated-oscillatory-field technique is employed. Shifts due to quantum-mechanical interference effects will be discussed.
