Near-field Corrections in Mesoscopic Transport

Abstract

In dense composites, light transport evolves through both propagating and evanescent channels. A novel propagation model is developed in terms of measurable far- and near-field scattering. Its accuracy is verified by systematic enhanced backscattering experiments.
