Chemical Imaging of Single Nanoparticles by Photothermal Microscopy

Abstract

Photothermal imaging detects absorbing nanoparticles with superior dynamic range which makes it an attractive alternative to single particle fluorescence microscopy. Here we focus on its application to the measurement of adsorption and desorption of macromolecules at a nanoparticle surface.
