Remote Collection of Optical Signals using Air Waveguides

Abstract

Remote collection of weak distant signals significantly limits LIBS and LIDAR schemes. We demonstrate use of an air waveguide acting as a remote collection lens for increasing the signal-to-noise in such measurements.
