Waveforms for Optimal Enhancement of High-order Harmonics by Synthesizing Two- or three-color Laser Fields

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

High-order harmonics reaching keV energies can be generated with optimized waveform by synthesizing a 2-micron mid-infrared laser with a small fraction of its third harmonic, resulting in a ten-fold increase of harmonic yields.
