Quantum emitters in optical nanocavities: physics and applications

Abstract

Strong light-matter interaction between InAs/GaAs quantum dots and optical nanoresonators (photonic crystals or nanometallic) is studied, with applications ranging from quantum technologies to optical switches. Alternative platforms such as impurities in SiC are considered.
