Dispersive DNG Stack Makes a Light Trap

Abstract

DNG-DPS stack band dispersion is scrutinized by coupling analysis of its competing building-blocks, slab and gap, identifying three distinct band types. Zero effective-index spectral-line can form, allowing light-trapping as group velocity vanishes.
