Production of ultracold LiRb molecules by photoassociation

Abstract

We report the first photoassociation of ultracold heteronuclear 7Li85Rb molecules in electronically excited states from a dual-species (7Li/85Rb) magneto-optical trap. We also determine the C6 dispersion coefficients for the 7Li (2S) + 85Rb (5P) asymptote.
