Theory of high-order harmonic generation from vibrating polyatomic molecules

Abstract

A quantitative rescattering theory for high-order harmonics generation (HHG) from polyatomic molecules is presented. Comparison with experimental data reveals that structure and dynamics of molecules can be retrieved from the HHG spectra.
