Propagation of pulsed squeezed vacuum through a resonant coherent atomic medium

Abstract

We investigate the effect of atomic coherence on propagation of a resonant squeezed vacuum probe through dense Rb vapor. We demonstrate superluminal squeezing propagation, and analyze distortions of the squeezed pulses at higher optical depths.
